La Licorne Bas Armagnac Xo Extra 25Y from Sasu Un Petit Grain presents a mature, harmonious profile, the result of long ageing. On the nose emerge notes of dried and cooked fruit — plum, fig — blended with touches of vanilla, caramel and toasted wood; the picture is warm but never heavy, with a sensation of roundness and a subtle acidic spine that keeps the sip lively. The balance between alcohol and structure is well judged, with an aromatic framework that invites slow, reflective tasting.

On the palate the texture is silky, warm and enveloping: the palate rediscovers the fruity suggestions accompanied by sweet spices and a return of roasted hazelnut, while the finish is long and clean. It is ideal served slightly cool, in a tulip glass, as a meditative after-dinner drink or paired with dark chocolate, aged cheeses or a delicate cigar. A Bas Armagnac that favors elegance and depth without excess.
