In the glass it opens with a deep ruby robe, slightly orange at the rim, and an aromatic frame recalling ripe red fruits, rose petal, notes of forest floor and a hint of liquorice and delicate spices. The sip is elegant and measured: the acidity supports the wine, the tannins are already firm but well integrated into the structure, giving a sense of compactness without heaviness; the body is full yet flowing, with a persistence that invites a second taste. The producer’s signature is clear in the control of style, with a texture that promises further evolution in the bottle.

Stored and presented in magnum in a wooden case, this Barolo is well suited to long openings and important convivial moments: decanting before service releases its most complex aromas. It pairs with braised red meats, stews, stewed mushrooms and aged cheeses; it is a bottle suitable both for discovering the region and for the festive table, when one seeks an important but unostentatious wine.
