The Matarocchio Bolgheri DOC Superiore from Tenuta Guado al Tasso, produced by Marchesi Antinori, is a red wine that shows balance and presence without force. In the glass it displays an intense colour and on the nose offers a blend of red and dark fruit aromas, light spicy notes and a hint of floral character; on the palate it reveals a structured profile, with present but well-integrated tannins and good sapidity that supports the drinking experience. The approach is complex yet measured, suitable for those seeking a carefully tended wine without excess.

It pairs easily with meat dishes, roasts and aged cheeses, but also suits preparations with mushrooms or rustic sauces; serve at a cool but not cold temperature, around 16-18 °C, to appreciate its harmony. It can be enjoyed after a short period in bottle, but shows good substance for those who prefer to wait a few years; store in a cool, stable place away from light and temperature fluctuations. Ideal for convivial occasions and for those who want to explore the typicity of the denomination.
