The Morellino di Sansano Riserva DOCG from Madrechiesa by Terenzi winery embodies the essence of the Maremma region, a viticultural gem that reflects the passion and art of winemaking of this renowned producer. Made with carefully selected Sangiovese grapes, this wine undergoes an meticulous vinification process followed by aging in French oak barriques, enhancing its complexity and structure.

The Madrechiesa Riserva stands out for its intense ruby-red color with garnet reflections, indicative of proper maturation. On the nose, it features a complex and enveloping bouquet, characterized by notes of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, enriched with hints of sweet spices, tobacco, and a light trace of chocolate, results from the aging in wood.

On the palate, the experience is equally rich: the Morellino di Sansano Riserva offers a full, balanced, and persistent flavor. The tannins are well-structured yet soft, the acidity is lively and well integrated, which contributes to a harmonious and enticing palate. The aromatic finesse rekindles in the aftertaste, with a persistence that closes on spicy and slightly toasted notes.

This wine pairs beautifully with Tuscan dishes, such as bistecca alla fiorentina, roasted red meats, and game. It is also an excellent companion for aged cheeses and dishes rich in aromatic herbs.

Serve at a temperature of 18°C to fully enjoy its qualities. The Madrechiesa DOCG Riserva is a wine that can be enjoyed immediately or further aged, developing complexity over time. A testament to Terenzi's winemaking heritage, this reserve is a distinguished choice for any collector or connoisseur wishing to explore the depth and elegance of Morellino di Scansano.

Winery history
The Terenzi project originated from the family's investment in the Maremma. After Florio Terenzi's move to the countryside, noted as a family initiative since the 1990s, the operation was organised and developed commercially with the construction of the winery and the planting of new vineyards from 2001; today it is managed by the family, including Balbino, Federico and Francesca Romana.
Production philosophy
A pursuit of elegance and expressive clarity, with Sangiovese at the core and measured experimentation with white and international varieties. Vineyard work is oriented toward sustainability, cellar technology serves quality, and attention is paid to territorial identity.
Terroir and vineyards
Situated in the municipality of Scansano in the Tuscan Maremma, the estate benefits from sea breezes and well-drained clay soils. The vineyards extend across hills facing the sea, in a landscape also connected to local cultural projects.
