This Nebbiolo d'Alba Valmaggiore DOC by Giacomo Grimaldi, here presented in magnum, expresses the typical Nebbiolo profile with an immediate balance between freshness and tannin. In the glass it shows a light ruby color and a bouquet recalling cherry, small red fruits and floral hints; the tannic texture is lively but not overpowering, supported by a minerality that keeps the palate agile. The overall impression is one of measured elegance: it does not seek extreme power but rather elegant persistence.

On the palate it offers a linear progression, with fruity callbacks and a finish that invites another sip; its structure makes it suitable both for relatively early drinking and for moderate bottle aging, especially in magnum format where time brings added softness. It pairs well with roasted meats, full-flavored risottos and aged cheeses; serve at a not-too-high temperature and open a little ahead of time to better appreciate its aromas.
