The Negroamaro Puglia IGP "Taccorosso" by Paolo Leo is an authentic expression of the Apulian territory, where the Negroamaro grape variety finds one of its finest expressions. This red wine, characterized by a deep and intense ruby hue, encapsulates the warmth and strength of Southern Italy.

On the nose, the Taccorosso offers a rich aromatic palette: notes of ripe fruits such as plums and cherries are discernible, enriched by nuances of sweet spices and a slight hint of tobacco, resulting from the brief wood aging that the wine undergoes to refine its structure.

On the palate, it presents a full and enveloping body, balanced by a pleasant freshness and soft, well-integrated tannins. The aromatic persistence is remarkable, culminating in a pleasantly bitter finish, typical of the Negroamaro grape variety.

Paolo Leo's Taccorosso is a versatile wine, ideal for pairing with robust dishes such as grilled red meats, game-based dishes, or aged cheeses. Its intensity and complexity also make it suitable for aging, allowing it to evolve positively for a few years in the cellar.

Producing the Taccorosso involves careful selection of the grapes, meticulous vinification, and aging designed to enhance the characteristics of the grape without overwhelming its natural qualities. Paolo Leo, a representative of a family of winemakers for generations, maintains a strong connection with the land of Puglia, producing wines that not only celebrate the qualities of the region but also tell its story through every sip.
