The Nero d'Avola "Harmonium" from the Firriato winery is a true gem of Sicilian wine heritage, renowned for its intense aromatic profile and elegant structure. This wine represents one of the highest expressions of the native Nero d'Avola grape, grown in the fertile Sicilian lands bathed in sunlight almost all year round.

Firriato's Harmonium shows a deep, almost impenetrable red color, symbolizing its richness and intensity. On the nose, ripe red fruit notes such as blackberry and plum stand out immediately, enriched by hints of spices, dark chocolate, and a very light touch of vanilla, a result of aging in barrique.

On the palate, the wine is extremely balanced, with soft yet well-present tannins that make it structured and persistent. The aftertaste reveals hints of tobacco and licorice, inviting another sip.

Harmonium is ideal to accompany robust dishes such as roasted red meat, game, or aged cheeses. Its complexity and elegance also make it perfect as a meditation wine, to be sipped slowly to appreciate every nuance.

To enhance its elegance and prestige, Firriato's Harmonium is a wine that cannot be missing from the cellar of lovers of great Sicilian reds, offering a rich and satisfying sensory experience.

Winery history
Founded as a family project by Salvatore Di Gaetano in the 1980s, Firriato has grown by expanding its presence across multiple estates in Sicily and bringing the island’s wines to international markets. The family has remained actively involved in technical supervision and brand development, over time establishing estates dedicated to production, ampelographic research and hospitality.
Production philosophy
The winery pursues an approach focused on respect for the land: careful selection of soils, promotion of local grape varieties and sustainability-focused agricultural management. Firriato declares the conversion of its vineyards to organic farming and has undertaken initiatives to offset and reduce the company's climate footprint.
Terroir and vineyards
The company's holdings are distributed across several estates that represent different terroirs: the hills of the Agro Trapanese, the slopes of Mount Etna and the maritime viticulture of the island of Favignana. The individual estates mentioned in the sources include Baglio Sorìa, Borgo Guarini, Dàgala Borromeo, Pianoro Cuddìa, Giudeo, Cavanera Etnea and Tenuta di Calamoni in Favignana.
