Penderyn Distillery is known for its ability to blend tradition and innovation, using unique stills and cutting-edge distillation techniques. The Penderyn Myth is no exception, being a symbolic specimen that narrates Welsh mythology and heritage through its character.
This whisky stands out for its golden color, which promises an intriguing taste experience. On the nose, the Penderyn Myth offers a complex bouquet with notes of fresh fruit, including prominent apple and pear, followed by hints of citrus and a slight touch of vanilla, due to its aging in oak barrels that previously housed wines and other spirits.
On the palate, it is soft and balanced, with a moderate sweetness that leads into touches of dried fruit and mild spices, culminating in a persistent and slightly spicy finish that confirms its complexity and unique identity.
The Penderyn Myth is perfect to be enjoyed neat, to fully appreciate its depth. It is also an excellent base for sophisticated cocktails that require a high-quality whisky. It represents an exceptional testament to the craftsmanship of Penderyn Distillery and the excellence that Wales can offer in the world of spirits.

Distillation
Use of the 'Faraday' still (single-pot with integrated column) to obtain high-purity new-make (~92% ABV) in a single pass; use of traditional pot stills (70–73% ABV new-make) and lantern stills for stylistic variation.
Ageing
Maturation predominantly in ex-bourbon casks for the main ageing phase and finishes in Madeira casks; sherry, port and other cask types are also used for specific expressions and single cask releases.
