The Perno Barolo DOCG by Paolo Giordano shows a profile of great elegance: in the glass it is ruby with slight garnet reflections that announce maturity and finesse. The bouquet is complex but composed, with echoes of ripe red fruit, withered rose petals, light earthy notes and sweet spices; in the background there are hints of tobacco and leather that enrich its depth without dominating. The aromatic texture remains refined, balanced between body and freshness, and suggests good aging potential.

On the palate the wine is sculpted by a solid structure, with well-defined tannins and a vibrant acidity that makes it dynamic and capable of evolving over time. The finish is long, savory and leaves a pleasant spicy aftertaste that invites another sip. It pairs well with hearty dishes such as braised meats, sliced steak, substantial risottos and aged cheeses; it is ideal to uncork for structured dinners after a short decanting or a few hours of opening, served around 16-18°C.
