The Pic Saint-Loup Simon from Clos Marie is a red wine that captivates from the first sip, thanks to the intense expression of its unique terroir in the heart of the Languedoc region in France. Produced mainly with Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre grapes, this wine offers a rich aromatic bouquet with notes of ripe red fruits, subtle spices, and a light touch of aromatic herbs.

On the palate, the Pic Saint-Loup Simon is structured and well-balanced, with soft tannins that blend harmoniously with a pleasant freshness, resulting in a persistent and aromatic finish. Aging in oak barrels allows the aromas to integrate perfectly, adding complexity and depth to the final taste.

This wine is ideal for accompanying rich dishes such as meat roasts, lamb, and aged cheeses. Its versatility also makes it an excellent companion for special evenings or as a gift for wine lovers in search of unique expressions of the French terroir.

Winery history
Clos Marie originated from the vineyards inherited from "Marie", Françoise Julien's grandmother; the project took shape in the mid-1990s and, over the following decades, the domaine expanded to more than twenty hectares. Founders Françoise Julien and Christophe Peyrus gradually transitioned its management to organic and biodynamic practices, developing cuvées recognized at a national level.
Production philosophy
The work focuses on soil care and minimal intervention in the cellar: manual work, hand‑harvesting, fermentations with indigenous yeasts, and certified biodynamic vineyard management, with the aim of faithfully expressing the character of Pic Saint‑Loup.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyard is located in the Pic Saint‑Loup area, on the slopes at the foot of the Cévennes, with limestone and marl soils typical of the appellation; the altitude and breezes lend a balancing freshness to the Mediterranean fruit.
