The Picolit from Ronco dei Tassi represents one of the most refined and aristocratic examples in the panorama of Italian dessert wines. Produced in limited quantities, this wine is a jewel of Friulian viticulture, cultivated with dedication in the hills of Cormòns, the heart of the DOC Friuli Colli Orientali.

Picolit has a fascinating history dating back many centuries, when it was appreciated by European royal courts for its delicate flavor and rarity. Ronco dei Tassi preserves this legacy by adopting winemaking techniques that enhance the unique qualities of this grape. The result is a wine that is both a tribute to the past and a delight for the contemporary palate.

Visually, the wine displays an intense golden yellow color, with reflections that vary with the light. On the nose, Ronco dei Tassi's Picolit expresses a complex and seductive bouquet of aromas: nutty, honey, white flowers, and a touch of vanilla, which blend into a refined olfactory harmony. On the palate, the wine is smooth and velvety, with a perfect balance between sweetness and acidic freshness. Notes of apricot, honey, and a subtle aftertaste of bitter almond linger through a persistent and elegant finish.

Elegant and sophisticated, this Picolit 375ml DOC is ideal as a meditation wine or paired with fine desserts, blue cheeses, or dishes based on foie gras. A true oenological treasure, promising to provide an unforgettable sensory experience with every sip.

Region: Friuli-Venezia Giulia
Country: Italy
Founded: 1989
Grapes: Friulano, Malvasia, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, Ribolla Gialla, Picolit, Merlot
Fosarin — the estate’s signature wine, awarded Tre Bicchieri. Located in Cormòns, Collio Goriziano; the name derives from "ronco" and from the presence of yew trees. A broad range of wines, including Fosarin, Cjarandon, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, Ribolla Gialla and Picolit. An agricultural philosophy focused on vineyard care and the targeted management of fermentations to preserve typicity.
Winery history
The estate was founded when Fabio Coser, together with his wife Daniela, purchased a property in the heart of the Collio; the name comes from the presence of colonies of badgers and from the vineyards’ typical 'ronco' layout. The winery has grown over the years, becoming a local reference for Collio white wines.
Production philosophy
Quality-focused approach to raw materials: careful attention to vine training systems and frequent vineyard inspections to bring healthy grapes to the winery and allow winemaking that highlights the typicity of the terroir. In the historic blends, ageing in wood and vinification in stainless steel are balanced to achieve complexity without overpowering the fruit.
Terroir and vineyards
Collio Goriziano, in the municipality of Cormòns, at altitudes ranging from approximately 140 to 200 m above sea level; close to the protected Plessiva area, characterized by terraced vineyards and a rich presence of flora and fauna. The territory is fundamental to the style of the wines, with a strong focus on indigenous and international white varieties cultivated in the area.
Awards and recognitions
The Collio Bianco 'Fosarin' has recently received notable accolades, including the Tre Bicchieri in the Vini d'Italia guide and the 'Vino Bianco dell’anno' award at Food & Travel Italia's 2026 Wine Awards.
