The Refosco Isonzo by Tenuta Luisa is a red wine that excellently enhances the peculiarities of the native Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso grape variety from Friuli Venezia Giulia. This wine is renowned for its rich aromatic expression and a well-defined tannic structure.

With an intense ruby color, the nose opens with notes of ripe berries, particularly blackberry and blueberry, enriched by hints of licorice and a light spiciness. On the palate, the wine reveals a medium to full body, maintaining a pleasant freshness thanks to good acidity. The tannins are well integrated and soft, a feature that makes Refosco Isonzo by Tenuta Luisa accessible even at a young age, while still possessing great aging potential.

Produced respecting traditional methods and the environment, the vinification process involves maceration on the skins to enhance the phenolic profile of the wine. Afterwards, the wine matures for several months in stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness and authenticity of the fruit.

Ideal when paired with dishes of red meats, game, and aged cheeses, the Refosco by Tenuta Luisa is best served at a temperature of about 18°C. It represents an excellent choice for those wishing to discover the depth and complexity of Friulian red wines, offering a sip that is both robust and harmonious.

This wine not only represents the winemaking tradition of the region but also brings to the table a piece of Friulian history, telling through its taste the rich soils and unique microclimate of the Isonzo.
