What makes it particularly precious is its aging in Mizunara wood barrels, a rare and aromatic Japanese variety capable of giving the rum a fascinating aromatic complexity. On the nose, spicy notes are perceived, with a bouquet that evokes cinnamon, vanilla, and hints of toasted wood, while on the palate it is soft and enveloping, with flavors of dried fruit and a light balsamic touch. The finish is long, elegant, with an aftertaste that recalls honey and oriental spices.
Perfect to savor neat, as an after-dinner meditation, it pairs excellently with dark chocolate or spiced desserts, confirming its distinctive character and the artisanal care of the Neisson master distillers.

Distillation
Continuous distillation on a Savalle copper column (plate column), production of 'coulage' and the possibility to bottle brut de colonne as well (e.g. 'L'Esprit' at high strength).
Ageing
Tropical aging in casks (minimum 3 years for rhum vieux AOC); élevage sous bois (12–24 months for the 'élevés sous bois'); use of specific wood toasting techniques such as bousinage; management of ouillage to compensate the 'part des anges' in a tropical climate.
