In the glass it shows a bright garnet color, which heralds a refined, focused aromatic profile. On the nose there are sensations of ripe red fruits, rose petal and spicy hints; beneath the surface one perceives earthy notes and a trace of leather that give it depth without weighing it down. Balance and tension are the dominant impressions, with lively acidity supporting the body and providing clarity to the sip; the ensemble stays on fine tones, not overly opulent.

On the palate the wine shows firm but well-polished tannins, compact structure and a savory progression that lengthens the persistence. The sip opens with a dense mid-palate, then gives way to a fresh return that cleanses the palate; the finish is long and measured. It is austere yet elegant, suitable with braises, roasts and aged cheeses, as well as dishes based on mushrooms and light game. A slight oxygenation in a decanter and serving around 16-18 °C is recommended; a Barolo capable of evolving serenely in the cellar for several years while retaining freshness and gastronomic character.
