In the glass it shows a lively ruby red, with slight violet highlights that reveal an inviting youthfulness. On the nose it is frank and immediate: ripe red fruit, cherry and plum, delicate floral nuances and a hint of bitter almond that does not overpower but accompanies. The palate is lean and fluid, medium-bodied, with balanced freshness and soft tannins that support without weighing down. The drink remains focused, with clean fruity returns and a pleasant persistence that invites a second glass. It is a versatile and honest wine, designed for everyday conviviality but with personality; serve it cool, around 14–16 °C, to appreciate its aromatic finesse.

It pairs well with cured meats and traditional appetizers, flavorful first courses and grilled white meats, as well as soft-textured or medium-aged cheeses. Ideal for those seeking a Dolcetto with authentic character, immediacy and ready drinkability.

Winery history
The family has cultivated vineyards in Diano d'Alba for generations; estate records state that the first bottles bearing the Alario Claudio label were produced in 1988. Some historic crus of the estate, such as Sorì Costa Fiore, have been cultivated by the family for decades (vines planted in the mid-20th century in the cited parcels).
Production philosophy
The estate prioritizes a clear link between vineyard and bottle: wines that express their cru of origin. In the vineyard, it aims for controlled yields and careful work to achieve concentration and quality; in the cellar, method and patience highlight the characteristics of native grape varieties.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in Diano d'Alba, in the heart of the Langhe (province of Cuneo, Piedmont). The estate's vineyards include parcels in the area's crus and in other municipalities of the Langhe district; Sorì Costa Fiore is described as a southwest-facing vineyard at about 350 m above sea level, with calcareous-marly soils (the parcel area is given as 2 ha in the individual cru description).
