Format 75 cl
Region Campania
Production area Paestum (Cilento)
Country Italy
Type Rosé wine
Color rosé
The Rosato La Capranera by San Salvatore 1988 shows a pale pink, clear and bright color. On the nose it is delicate: impressions of small red fruits and floral hints emerge, accompanied by a light citrus note that brings freshness. On the palate it reveals a measured balance between softness and liveliness, with a lean flavor profile and a pleasant, unobtrusive persistence; the 1988 vintage is indicated on the label. The drinking experience is straightforward and quietly characterized, suitable for those seeking a rosato with a discreet personality rather than a highly expressive profile.

It pairs naturally with seafood starters, fish dishes, composed salads and delicate white meats; it is also enjoyable with fresh cheeses and light preparations. Recommended serving temperature around 8–12 °C and glasses not too large to enhance its more subtle aromas. For a more precise assessment of bottle condition and storage, refer to the information provided by the seller or on the label.

Winery history
The estate was founded through the entrepreneurial commitment of Giuseppe Pagano and developed across the hills and coastline of the Cilento National Park. The name refers to Salvatore, the founder’s son. Over time San Salvatore 1988 has integrated winemaking, olive growing and buffalo farming, evolving into an estate recognized nationally and internationally.

Terroir and vineyards
Located in the heart of the Cilento National Park, with vineyards in the areas of Paestum, Giungano and Stio, the estate benefits from the influence of the nearby sea and the area's calcareous-clay soils to produce wines typical of Cilento/Paestum.
Awards and recognitions
The winery's wines have been reviewed and featured in international guides and magazines. Some individual wines, such as Pian di Stio and Trentenare, have received critical attention.
