The Rosso di Montalcino DOC from Tenuta Pian delle Vigne by Marchesi Antinori offers a restrained, approachable profile. In the glass it shows a vivid red color; on the nose there are impressions of ripe red fruit, subtle spice notes and a hint of earth that give a sober aromatic picture. On the palate it is balanced and medium-bodied, with tannins that are present but not overpowering, and a freshness that supports the drinking experience without weighing it down. The flavor progression favors clarity and finesse over opulence, suited to those who appreciate a straightforward yet well-made red.

Serve at around 16–18 °C, with a short decanting if you wish to open the aromas. It pairs easily with moderately sauced pasta dishes, lighter grilled or roasted meats, and soft to semi-aged cheeses. It is a solid choice for informal dinners and everyday dining, offering versatility while maintaining a recognisable estate character.
