The Saint-Romain Blanc "Le Jarron" by Mark Haisma is a jewel of Burgundy, renowned for its refinement and elegance. This white wine comes from carefully selected vineyards in the Saint-Romain region, an area that, thanks to its high altitude and limestone soils, imparts a distinctive freshness and minerality to the wine.

"Le Jarron" stands out for its complex aromatic profile, where notes of white flowers, green apple, and a subtle hint of hazelnut intertwine, resulting from maturation in French oak barrels, which adds a delicate spicy touch without overpowering the purity of the fruit.

On the palate, the wine is lively, with beautiful acidity that balances the medium structure and a long finish that concludes with mineral and citrus accents. Perfect for pairing with fish or seafood dishes, "Le Jarron" best expresses the character of an elegant Chardonnay from Burgundy, showcasing an aging potential that makes it interesting even for the cellar of sophisticated white wine lovers.

The Saint-Romain Blanc "Le Jarron" is ideal for those seeking a wine that combines elegance, aromatic complexity, and vivacity, capable of evolving beautifully over time.

Winery history
Born and trained in Australia — including a long, decade-long tenure at Yarra Yering — Mark Haisma moved to Burgundy at the start of his European career and began releasing wines as a négociant with the 2009 vintage. Over the years he has developed his project by establishing his own winery and by acquiring vineyards and a small domaine in Gevrey‑Chambertin toward the end of the 2010s. He is known both for purchasing grapes from trusted local growers and for managing his own parcels, progressively expanding his presence across various subzones of Burgundy, with a few projects also in the Rhône and the Mâconnais.
Production philosophy
A pursuit of purity and balance: rigorous attention to vineyard work, minimal use of oak and winemaking practices that prioritize the expression of place rather than cellar interventions. It favors wines with a fresh, precise palate that reflect each climat.
Terroir and vineyards
Operates primarily in the Côte de Nuits and other areas of Burgundy, with occasional ventures into the Northern Rhône for some wines.
