On the nose, the Saint Romain reveals delicate aromas of red fruits such as cherries and strawberries, integrated with subtle notes of sweet spices and a slight touch of vanilla, deriving from barrel aging. On the palate, the wine demonstrates an excellent balance with a lively freshness that harmoniously marries with a well-integrated tannic structure. The finish is persistent and elegant, leaving a pleasant sensation of completeness.

Ideal for pairing with delicate meat dishes, roasted poultry, and soft cheeses, the Saint Romain is perfect for those seeking a wine that flawlessly combines elegance and expression of the terroir. The care in production and limited production make this red wine a true jewel for lovers of Burgundy Pinot Noir.

Winery history
Alain Gras settled in Saint‑Romain in 1979 and over the years built a small estate with parcels in Saint‑Romain, Meursault and Auxey‑Duresses. In recent years his son Arthur joined the family business and has gradually taken over management of the estate, maintaining the terroir‑focused approach passed down by Alain.
Production philosophy
Emphasis on the value of Saint‑Romain's calcareous terroir, traditional winemaking aimed at freshness, minerality and elegance; vineyard practices focused on targeted pest control and soil management, and hand-harvesting to preserve the quality and identity of the parcels.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is situated in the commune of Saint‑Romain, on limestone hills between Meursault and Pommard. It also manages scattered vineyards in the communes of Meursault and Auxey‑Duresses, on clay‑limestone soils that impart mineral tension to the wines.
Awards and recognitions
Recognized and cited in wine guides and with a well-established presence on the wine lists of numerous three-Michelin-star restaurants; individual cuvées have been positively reviewed by specialist guides.
