This San Sano Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione from Marchesi Antinori shows an elegant, well-structured profile. On the nose it offers ripe red fruit, subtle spicy notes and a slight herbal hint, the olfactory picture remaining sober and well defined. On the palate it presents present but polished tannins, lively acidity that supports the sip and a saline texture leading to a persistent and refined finish. The structure is harmonious, with a linear flavor progression and a balanced relationship between fruit component and spice.

It can be enjoyed now but also shows good potential for development in bottle if stored under suitable conditions. Recommended pairings: grilled red meats, braised dishes and pasta with flavorful ragù; it is also suitable with aged cheeses and regional traditional dishes. It pairs well with mushroom preparations, roasted meats and hearty home-style dishes. Suggested serving temperature 16–18 °C; open a few minutes before serving to allow the aromas to open.
