Los Vascos Sauvignon Blanc is a vibrant example of how Chilean wines have achieved an international reputation for their quality and distinctive character. Part of the prestigious Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) group, Los Vascos is located in the Colchagua Valley region, a Chilean wine-growing area renowned for its ideal climatic conditions, which favor the production of elegant and aromatic wines.

This Sauvignon Blanc reflects the estate's commitment to making wines that express varietal freshness and purity. The choice to grow Sauvignon Blanc in this region is motivated by the cool climatic conditions and the influence of the Pacific Ocean, which give the wine a marked acidity and lively aromatic notes, typical of this grape variety.

The vinification of Los Vascos Sauvignon Blanc involves manual harvesting of the grapes at the optimal moment of ripeness, to preserve the integrity of the fruit and its aromatic qualities. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, with the aim of maintaining the freshness and distinctive varietal characteristics of Sauvignon Blanc. The wine does not undergo aging in wood, to enhance its fruity and mineral notes.

At sight, the wine has a light straw yellow color, with green reflections that highlight its freshness. On the nose, it offers an intense and captivating aromatic profile, with dominant notes of citrus fruits, such as lime and grapefruit, white pulp fruit and herbaceous accents, which contribute to an inviting olfactory complexity.

In the mouth, the Sauvignon Blanc from Los Vascos reveals a light but balanced body, with a lively acidity that enhances its freshness and fresh fruit flavours. The finish is clean and persistent, with a pleasant mineral vein that reflects the terroir of origin.

Perfect as an aperitif or paired with fish, seafood, fresh salads and vegetarian dishes, Los Vascos Sauvignon Blanc is an excellent choice for those who want a fresh and aromatic white wine, capable of offering a refreshing and a pleasant tasting experience.

Winery history
The estate's modern origins are linked to the acquisition by Domaines Barons de Rothschild.
