The "Small Batch Canister Special" 70cl Astucciato by Teeling is an excellent expression of Irish whiskey that combines tradition and innovation. This particular whiskey is the result of careful selection of distillates that were initially aged in ex-bourbon barrels, before being finished in barrels that previously hosted Caribbean rum. This process gives the whiskey extraordinary complexity and a richness of aromas.

On the nose, the Teeling Small Batch offers a lively and captivating scent, with notes of vanilla and sweet spices that balance perfectly with hints of green apple and toffee. On the palate, it is distinguished by its soft and velvety structure, combining flavors of candied fruit, white chocolate, and a light trace of cinnamon. The finish is long and refined, with a pleasant persistence of spicy notes and a slightly smoky aftertaste.

Presented in an elegant case, this whiskey is an ideal choice for lovers of high-quality spirits who are looking for a unique and distinctive product. The packaging also makes it a perfect gift for special occasions, demonstrating attention to detail and appreciation for quality and craftsmanship in distillation.

The Teeling Small Batch Canister Special is not just a whiskey, but a true taste experience, evoking the rich history of Irish distillation and bringing it into the present with a modern and intriguing twist.

Distillation

Combined use of pot stills (for single pot still expressions) and column stills (for some grain whiskey); some expressions are triple distilled; method varies depending on the bottle.

Ageing

Maturation in a wide range of casks with frequent finishes and double maturations (e.g. bourbon followed by wine casks such as Sauternes, red wine casks; finish in Japanese shochu casks on some releases). Many bottles are bottled without chill filtration and are reduced from cask strength to their house 'signature' ABV.
