The Pinot Grigio DOC Friuli from the Terre Magre winery by Piera Martellozzo is an elegant example of how the terroir of Friuli Venezia Giulia can express itself through this beloved grape variety. This wine presents a brilliant straw-yellow hue with greenish reflections, signs of freshness and vitality.

On the nose, the bouquet is finely composed of aromas of fresh fruit like pear and green apple, enriched by floral notes and a subtle mineral hint. These olfactory characteristics integrate perfectly with a delicate sensation of fresh almond, typical of some Pinot Grigio wines from this region.

On the palate, the wine reveals itself as balanced and harmonious. Its acidity is well-balanced, making it both refreshing and surprisingly round. The finish is persistent, featuring a return of the fruity notes and a pleasant aftertaste that invites another sip.

Produced with carefully selected and hand-picked grapes, the Pinot Grigio DOC Friuli from Terre Magre undergoes meticulous vinification, including a brief cold maceration to preserve all the aromatic nuances of the grape. The aging in stainless steel tanks ensures the freshness and purity of the fruit.

Ideal as an aperitif, this wine pairs beautifully with light appetizers, fish and poultry dishes, or with a selection of fresh cheeses. A glass of Pinot Grigio DOC Friuli from Terre Magre promises not only to delight the palate but also to bring a piece of the beloved Friuli Venezia Giulia to your table.

Winery history
The company’s history dates back to the late 19th century, with the first generation of the Martellozzo family active in 1899 in the province of Padua. In the 1990s Piera, of the third generation, took the helm of the business, began re-evaluating indigenous grape varieties and launched its first organic line. In the early 2000s the headquarters were consolidated in San Quirino, in the Friuli Grave area, serving as the starting point for expansion into national and international markets.
Production philosophy
The estate combines respect for the land with an innovative approach: careful selection of well‑suited vineyard parcels, the production of wines that reflect the local territory, and a focus on sustainable practices through measures such as photovoltaic systems, lightweight packaging, water reuse and careful selection of label materials.
Terroir and vineyards
Primarily operating in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, with ties to the Triveneto region; the wines are an expression of gravelly soils and a microclimate tempered by the Adriatic and sheltered by the mountains to the north.
