Villa Antinori Toscana IGT Rosso, offered by Marchesi Antinori, presents a measured and recognizable profile. In color it shows a compact ruby; on the nose it offers recalls of ripe red fruit and more discreet notes of sweet spice and a light herbal touch, without excess. On the palate it is balanced, medium-bodied, with present but smooth tannins and an acidity that supports the progression toward a clean, pleasant finish.

It pairs well with everyday dishes and preparations based on red meat, roasts and semi-mature cheeses, as well as flavorful sauces. Served at a moderate temperature, a short decanting can bring more aromatic breadth. The drinking experience is accessible from the start but retains a discreet depth, making it versatile for convivial settings, casual dinners and more relaxed tasting moments.

The property entered the Antinori holdings in the 1930s; the estate’s modern winemaking development took place from the late 1980s–1990s. First documented vintage of Vermentino at the estate: 1996.
Production philosophy
To express the Bolgheri terroir through parcel selection, experimentation in the vineyard and cellar, and practices focused on quality and respect for the territory.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the Bolgheri DOC (Upper Maremma) on a plain encircled by gentle hills known as the “Bolgheri Amphitheatre.” Climate is moderated by sea breezes; alluvial soils range from sandy-clay to silty-clay with fine gravel (Bolgheri agglomerate), influencing the character of varieties grown (Cabernet, Merlot, Vermentino, etc.).
