The White Shoot from Borgo Lame is a true expression of freshness and vibrancy, masterfully produced by Cantine Povero. This white wine is distinguished by its rich aromatic profile and its balanced structure, making it perfect for a wide range of culinary pairings.

Originating from the lush vineyards located in the picturesque region of Piedmont, the White Shoot is primarily composed of local grapes that are picked at perfect ripeness. The winemaking is conducted with modern technologies, while maintaining a strong connection with the wine-making traditions of the area. The result is a wine that reflects the identity and authenticity of its terroir.

On the nose, the White Shoot opens with vibrantly fruity notes of green apple, pear, and a subtle hint of citrus. These aromas are delicately balanced by floral scents and a fresh minerality that invites the first sip. On the palate, the wine is clean and refreshing with a lively acidity that extends its pleasure and encourages another sip.

Perfect as an aperitif, the White Shoot from Borgo Lame also excels when served alongside light fish dishes, fresh appetizers, or crispy salads. It is also an ideal companion for vegetarian dishes or seafood pasta. Its versatility makes it a must-have for every occasion, from informal dinners with friends to more formal events.

Cantine Povero, with its passion and dedication to viticultural excellence, confirms itself as a reference producer, offering in the White Shoot a taste experience that is both pleasantly familiar and intriguing. A white wine that is essential in the selection of every enthusiast of Italian wines.

Winery history
The Povero family has been rooted in the Piedmont region since the first half of the 19th century: land purchased in 1837, grandfather Bartolomeo planted vineyards in 1948, and in 1964 the sons began bottling under the family name. In the years that followed the estate expanded, and from the late 1990s it undertook conversion to organic viticulture, completed with certification covering the main vineyards.
Production philosophy
Sustainability and respect for the land guide the company's practices: organic vineyard management, conservation of woodlands to support biodiversity, and cellar practices aimed at reducing environmental impact while preserving the expressive character of the grape varieties.
Terroir and vineyards
Based in Cisterna d'Asti, at the crossroads of the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato, with varied soils that characterize both white and red wines typical of Piedmont.
