The Trento Brut Riserva Methius DOC from Dorigati winery is an oenological gem that reflects the excellence of Trento's winemaking tradition. This sparkling wine, meticulously produced using traditional methods, represents a distinguished choice for connoisseurs seeking a superior tasting experience.

With a masterful blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Nero grapes, Methius stands out for its bright straw-yellow color with golden highlights and fine, persistent perlage. On the nose, it expresses a complex and mature bouquet, enhanced by notes of white-fleshed fruits, citrus, toasted almond, and subtle hints of brioche, resulting from an extended aging on the lees.

On the palate, the tasting of Methius is balanced and harmonious, with a lively freshness that blends perfectly with its creamy and enveloping structure. The flavors of fresh fruit meld with citrus notes, followed by a light minerality that gives the wine a pleasant complexity and a persistent finish.

Dorigati winery, known for its dedication to quality and sustainability, passionately oversees every stage of production of the Trento Brut Riserva Methius, from the selection of the grapes to the delicate aging process. This sparkling wine is ideal for accompanying special moments, excellent as an aperitif or paired with light appetizers, fish dishes, and seafood.

Winery history
The Dorigati family has been active in Mezzocorona for generations: the company traces its origins to 1858 and developed as a family-run business dedicated to viticulture in the Piana Rotaliana. The current premises at Via Dante 5 date back to the early 20th century, with later extensions and a winery renovation completed in 1998. In the 1980s the winery also launched the Methius project, a Trento DOC Metodo Classico reserve.
Production philosophy
The winery focuses on territorial identity and quality: traditional viticultural practices, cluster selection and winemaking designed to bring out the character of the individual vineyards of the Piana Rotaliana and the pedemontane hills. It produces both 'classic' wines tied to the territory and Metodo Classico sparkling wines, with attention to artisanal process management.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are concentrated in the Piana Rotaliana and on the foothill slopes of Mezzocorona, with some plots associated with specific crus, such as the 'Bagolari' vineyard. Some Traditional Method cuvées come from hilly areas such as Faedo and Pressano; the soils include fluvial and glacial deposits typical of the area.
