The Villa Cigliano Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione from Marchesi Antinori presents itself as a controlled, measured expression of the territory indicated by its name. In the glass it shows an intense, clear color and on the nose releases ripe, complex aromas with hints of red fruit, delicate spices and light earthy notes. On the palate it is structured, balanced in the relationship between acidity and tannins, showing a progression that tends to be long and clean without excess; the finish remains persistent and confirms the wine's substance without forcing.

Suited to formal settings and abundant tables, it pairs well with roasted meats and characterful dishes, aged cheeses and mushroom-based preparations; it can also be regarded as a wine for contemplation by those who appreciate an important bottle. The Jeroboam format and wooden case make it a suitable choice for gifts or storage for special occasions; it is recommended to serve it at a moderate temperature and to decant if one wishes to release more aromas.

Production philosophy
To express the Bolgheri terroir through parcel selection, experimentation in the vineyard and cellar, and practices focused on quality and respect for the territory.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the Bolgheri DOC (Upper Maremma) on a plain encircled by gentle hills known as the “Bolgheri Amphitheatre.” Climate is moderated by sea breezes; alluvial soils range from sandy-clay to silty-clay with fine gravel (Bolgheri agglomerate), influencing the character of varieties grown (Cabernet, Merlot, Vermentino, etc.).
