On the nose, it opens with intense and enveloping aromas, where notes of ripe fruit, sweet spices, and hints of dark chocolate are perceived, balanced by a fresh herbaceous imprint typical of the place of origin. The taste is full and refined, with a smooth texture that evolves into vanilla scents and a touch of delicate smoke, expressing the chosen aging method. The long and persistent finish leaves a pleasant warm sensation and confirms the balanced and harmonious structure of the whisky.
Suitable for those who wish to explore new but complex aromatic profiles, the Whisky Spectrum 2021 is ideal to be tasted neat, to capture every nuance, or with a splash of water to soften the more intense notes. A perfect companion for meditative or convivial moments, it offers a journey through a still little known but highly promising territory in the world of distillates.

Distillation
For whiskies and gin Amrut predominantly uses copper pot stills and traditional washbacks; for some rums distillation is performed in iron stills from jaggery, followed by blending with aged foreign rums.
Ageing
Maturation in the Indian tropical climate with strong cask/spirit interaction; frequent use of finishing phases in different cask types to create expressions such as Portonova (finishing in port pipes) or preparations with sherry/intermediate sherry.
