"Da Maggio" is one of the wines of Poderi dal Nespoli produced in the Bidente valley in the Forlì area, from 100% Chardonnay grapes.
"Da Maggio" changes taste and image, acquires a whole new complexity for a wine entirely dedicated to late spring, an enchanting time of year that heralds the splendid Romagna summer. The vineyards are cultivated on soils with predominantly clayey and loamy soil components.
A wine with a straw yellow color with greenish reflections that offers intense sweet hints of acacia honey and vanilla to the nose, as well as aromas of exotic fruit and white fruit mixed with toasted notes. The taste is decidedly soft and harmonious, the perfect combination of fresh varietal notes and the rich and elegant character obtained from the aging in French oak barrels, with a long, fresh and persistent finish.
It goes perfectly with seafood and shrimp dishes, perfect with potatoes creamed with extra virgin olive oil and blackberry bacon from Romagna. The combination with veal in tuna sauce and medium-aged cheeses is recommended.
