Winery history Cantina Kurtatsch

Founded in 1900 as a village cooperative, Cantina Kurtatsch has grown to bring together around 190 member families and to manage significant vineyard holdings in the Cortaccia area. Over time the winery has developed distinctive production lines and invested in hospitality facilities such as a panoramic wine shop and an underground ageing cellar.

Production philosophy

The winery aims to produce wines that clearly reflect their territory of origin, combining careful vineyard management, sustainable practices and winemaking focused on expressing individual UGA. It organizes its labels into ranges to highlight the cru and local grape varieties.

Terroir and vineyards

Located on the Wine Road in the Cortaccia/Curtatsch area, the winery's vineyards extend across elevations ranging from about 220 to 900 meters above sea level, with limestone, clay and gravel soils that allow the cultivation of high-altitude white varieties as well as red varieties on warmer exposures.
