Winery history La Madonnina

La Madonnina is an estate in Bolgheri that combines a historic farmhouse, a villa for events and cultivated land. The main vineyards were planted starting in 2002; over the years the estate has introduced a range of local wines, olive products and distilled spirits produced in limited quantities.

Production philosophy

Production focused on grape selection and the enhancement of individual grape varieties: an approach that combines respect for tradition, attention to the territory and openness to oenological experimentation to produce expressive, recognizable wines.

Terroir and vineyards

The estate is located on the western side of the Strada Bolgherese, in the intermediate band between the Colline Metallifere and the sea, at approximately 45 metres above sea level. Soils range from clayey to sandy. The property includes vineyards, an olive grove and the Macchia del Bruciato, which occupies a significant portion of the area.

Awards and recognitions

Awards for individual wines: La Madonnina 2017, Opera Omnia 2018, Viator 2017.
