The 30 year Sauternes & Bourbon Cask - Box - 70cl is an exceptional spirit, the result of refined distillation art and an aging process that combines the tradition of American bourbon casks with the elegance and sweetness of Sauternes barrels, the renowned French sweet wine. Presented in an elegant box, this spirit is positioned as a luxury item, intended for enthusiasts and collectors looking for unique and memorable tasting experiences.

Aging for three decades in these particular types of barrels gives the spirit an unparalleled complexity and aromatic depth. The bourbon casks bring notes of vanilla, coconut and a light smoky touch, while the Sauternes barrels enrich the spirit with nuances of candied fruit, honey and sweet spices, creating a perfect balance between sweetness and robustness.

At sight, the distillate has an intense amber color, a sign of its long maturation. On the nose, the 30 year old Sauternes & Bourbon Cask offers an extraordinarily rich and inviting aromatic bouquet, where notes of dried fruit, honey, vanilla and spices blend in perfect harmony, with a light touch of toasted wood completing the profile olfactory.

In the mouth, the distillate reveals its extraordinary complexity and elegant structure. The initial sweetness, with notes of candied fruit and honey, evolves into richer and spicier flavours, maintaining a surprising freshness thanks to a well-balanced acidity. The finish is long and persistent, with a pleasant aftertaste that invites a new tasting.

Ideal to be enjoyed neat, perhaps accompanied by a moment of meditation or at the end of a meal as a worthy culmination of a special evening, the 30 year Sauternes & Bourbon Cask is also a precious gift, capable of expressing esteem and appreciation towards lovers of spirits of high quality.

Irish whiskey producer based in the Liberties district of Dublin. Distillation

Combined use of pot stills (for single pot still expressions) and column stills (for some grain whiskey); some expressions are triple distilled; method varies depending on the bottle.

Ageing

Maturation in a wide range of casks with frequent finishes and double maturations (e.g. bourbon followed by wine casks such as Sauternes, red wine casks; finish in Japanese shochu casks on some releases). Many bottles are bottled without chill filtration and are reduced from cask strength to their house 'signature' ABV.
