The Aglianico Riserva Molise DOC - Contado - Di Majo Norante represents one of the highest expressions of Aglianico, a vine that finds in the lands of Molise an ideal terroir to express all its power and complexity. Produced by the historic Di Majo Norante winery, known for its commitment to enhancing native vines and producing high quality wines, the "Contado" Riserva is the result of a careful selection of the best Aglianico grapes, grown with methods that respect the environment and biodiversity.

This wine stands out for its intense, almost impenetrable ruby red color, with garnet reflections that become more accentuated with ageing. On the nose, the "Contado" offers a complex and articulated bouquet, with dominant notes of ripe red fruit, such as cherries and plums, enriched by accents of spices, chocolate and vanilla, the result of careful aging in wood which enhances its structure without overwhelm the varietal richness.

In the mouth it reveals a powerful but balanced structure, with robust but well-smoothed tannins and an acidity that gives freshness and longevity. The flavors of ripe fruit blend with balsamic notes and a light mineral touch, leading to a long and persistent finish, with an aftertaste that recalls the olfactory sensations and adds a pleasant complexity.

This wine is an excellent companion for intense and structured dishes, such as grilled red meats, roasts, game and mature cheeses. Its richness and depth also make it ideal for special occasions or as a meditation wine, capable of evolving beautifully in the glass and revealing new nuances as time passes.
