The Asili vineyard, from which the grapes are sourced, is renowned for its particularly favorable soil, which gives the wine notable structure and complexity. The area's microclimate, characterized by cold winters and hot but not scorching summers, is ideal for the aromatic and phenolic development of Nebbiolo.
Cà del Baio's Barbaresco Cru Asili DOCG presents a deep ruby red color, tending towards garnet with aging. On the nose, it reveals aromas of cherry, dried flowers, tobacco, and hints of chocolate, complemented by a slight mineral vein. On the palate, the wine is robust yet harmonious, with well-integrated tannins and a long persistence that allows notes of ripe red fruit and spices to emerge.
Traditionally vinified with long maceration and aged in oak barrels, this wine best expresses the qualities of the Asili terroir and has the capacity to evolve magnificently over many years.
Ideal for accompanying red meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses, Cà del Baio's Barbaresco Cru Asili offers an unforgettable tasting experience, celebrating the richness and diversity of the Piedmont wine landscape. A must for lovers of fine wine and Italian tradition.
