The Barbaresco Cru Asili Riserva DOCG from Cà del Baio is a wine of exceptional expression that embodies the elegance and complexity of Nebbiolo grown in the prestigious Asili area, one of the most famous crus of the Barbaresco designation. This wine represents a masterful interpretation of the terroir thanks to carefully curated winemaking methods and an aging process that takes place mostly in oak barrels, giving the wine extraordinary refinement.

The Asili Riserva from Cà del Baio presents itself with an intense ruby red color, tending towards garnet with aging. On the nose, it is rich in nuances: notes of cherry and ripe red fruits emerge, enriched with hints of violets, spices, and a slight touch of tobacco and cocoa, typical of wood aging. On the palate, the wine is powerful yet balanced, with well-structured tannins that promise excellent aging potential. The acidity is well balanced, leading to a long and persistent finish that leaves flavors of fruit and spices on the tongue.

This reserve is ideal for accompanying intense dishes such as red meat roasts, game, and aged cheeses. It is advisable to decant it at least an hour before serving to allow the wine to fully express its aromatic range. With aging potential extending over several years, the Barbaresco Cru Asili Riserva is a wine that can be appreciated today with significant benefits from further aging in the cellar.

A true treasure for lovers of noble and complex wines, the Barbaresco Cru Asili Riserva from Cà del Baio represents a masterpiece of unforgettable balances and nuances, a jewel in the crown of Piedmontese wine.

Family-run winery Based in Treiso, with vineyards in the Barbaresco crus. Adherence to the principles of the Green Experience project for sustainable viticulture Use of native yeasts and limited use of sulfites in the cellar.
Winery history
The Grasso family has been connected to these hills for generations: Giuseppe Grasso's arrival in Treiso is documented in 1870, and in the following decades the family progressively selected and vinified individual parcels. In the 1980s and 2000s the winery refined the separation of grapes by cru, and in 2008 introduced experiments with Riesling. The revival and modern visibility of the winery are linked to the work of Giulio Grasso, and today management also involves the family's daughters.
Production philosophy
It favors a sustainable approach to viticulture, eliminating chemical weed control, using cover crops, and prioritizing biodiversity and soil conservation. In the cellar, fermentations with indigenous yeasts are encouraged and the use of sulfites is limited to preserve the character of the vintages and their ageing potential.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate and most of its vineyards are located in Treiso, near Barbaresco and not far from Neive. The estate's vineyards fall within historic crus such as Vallegrande, Asili, Pora, Marcarini, Ferrere and Trestelle; the soils are typically calcareous marls that characterize the Barbaresco area.
Awards and recognitions
Giulio Grasso was named "Winemaker of the Year" by the Gambero Rosso guide.
