The Blackpitts Peated Single Malt is a whiskey that enchants with its distinctive smokiness and depth of aroma. Produced by the Teeling distillery, located in the heart of Dublin, this single malt is a tribute to the art of Irish distillation coupled with the tradition of Scottish peat smoking.

Distilled in copper stills, Blackpitts Peated Single Malt is characterized by aging in barrels that previously housed bourbon and fine wines, which enhances the organoleptic profile of this exceptional whiskey. The peatiness, obtained from malt dried with peat smoke, imparts that characteristic smoky flavor which balances harmoniously with sweet and fruity notes.

On the nose, Blackpitts Peated Single Malt offers intense smoky sensations mixed with sweet hints of vanilla and honey, enriched by a touch of spices. On the palate, smoke and charred wood are immediately evident, followed by an irresistible smoothness reminiscent of flavors of caramel, apple, and citrus, with a light presence of spices such as black pepper and cinnamon.

The 70cl bottle comes in an elegant box, making it a perfect gift for whiskey enthusiasts or for those looking to discover the allure of smoked malt. With its intense golden color and a long, pleasantly complex finish, Blackpitts Peated Single Malt is an invitation to explore the depth and evolution of smoked Irish whiskey, a true triumph of sensations for the palate. Ideal to be enjoyed neat or with a drop of water to enhance all its nuances.

Distillation

Combined use of pot stills (for single pot still expressions) and column stills (for some grain whiskey); some expressions are triple distilled; method varies depending on the bottle.

Ageing

Maturation in a wide range of casks with frequent finishes and double maturations (e.g. bourbon followed by wine casks such as Sauternes, red wine casks; finish in Japanese shochu casks on some releases). Many bottles are bottled without chill filtration and are reduced from cask strength to their house 'signature' ABV.
