This Bordeaux Supérieur Malbec Cuvée Jarre is a wine of character that deeply expresses the peculiarities of the terroir in which it is produced. Made exclusively with Malbec grapes, a variety originally from the Cahors region but excellently adapted to Bordeaux soils, this wine stands out for its intense and complex aromatic notes.

With a deep ruby color, it offers a rich bouquet on the nose with aromas of ripe red fruits, such as blackberries and plums, complemented by slightly spicy hints and a touch of vanilla, derived from aging in terracotta containers known as "jarre," which give the wine a softer and unique texture. On the palate, the Bordeaux Supérieur Malbec Cuvée Jarre is vigorous yet balanced, with well-structured tannins and remarkable aromatic persistence.

Ideal to serve with roasts, game, and aged cheeses, this wine represents an excellent choice for Bordeaux lovers seeking to explore the influence of Malbec in the captivating context of this renowned winemaking region.

Hand-harvested, fermented with native yeasts and vinified in traditional containers.
Winery history
The agricultural and winemaking project is managed by the Aubrion family, led by Virginie with her son Corentin. The family converted an old farm into vineyards and began production in its current form in the late 1990s. Over the years the estate has distinguished itself for natural practices and for promoting alternative vinification methods.
Production philosophy
Low-intervention approach: organic and biodynamic farming, use of natural remedies and the lunar calendar, hand-harvesting, fermentations with indigenous yeasts and aging in barrels, foudres, amphorae and jars. Animals are present on the estate as an integral part of the agricultural ecosystem.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in Val-de-Virvée, in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards, the estate works on clay-loam soils with traces of crasse de fer and produces wines in the Bordeaux / Bordeaux Supérieur appellations.
