Distinguished by its deep ruby color, the Brouilly Les Pierreux offers a rich bouquet of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and blackberries, enhanced by a subtle spicy note reminiscent of black pepper. On the palate, it presents itself as velvety and harmonious, with well-integrated tannins leading to a persistent and pleasantly fresh finish, supported by vibrant acidity.

Ideal for accompanying red meat dishes, roast poultry, or soft cheeses, this wine also stands out for its versatility and aging potential. The careful winemaking and use of traditional techniques enhance its distinctive character, making the Brouilly Les Pierreux an excellent choice for those seeking a wine that represents the authenticity and quality of Beaujolais.

Discover the story and wines of Pierre‑Marie Chermette (Famille Chermette).

Family-owned Beaujolais producer (Saint‑Vérand) known for terroir-driven wines in a traditional style, including Beaujolais crus and a Crémant de Bourgogne; practices sustainable viticulture with HVE3 certification.
Region: Beaujolais (Auvergne‑Rhône‑Alpes)
Country: Francia
Grapes: Gamay, Chardonnay
Historic family estate with documented roots dating back to 1636. Traditional Beaujolais production style: low-intervention winemaking, non-chaptalized primeurs for some cuvées. HVE3 certification for sustainable viticulture. Production of recognized crus. They also produce a Crémant de Bourgogne.
Winery history
The family has been established in the locality of Le Vissoux since the 17th century. The estate is run by the Chermette family, with generational succession evidenced by Pierre‑Marie taking over management in 1982, consolidating bottled sales and a traditional production style. In the 1990s and 2000s the property acquired parcels in the crus and developed a diversified range, as well as beginning production of Crémant de Bourgogne. Since 2017 Jean‑Etienne has joined the family business and in 2023 assumed management of SARL Famille Chermette; in 2018 the domaine adopted the name Domaines Chermette to reflect the plurality of parcels and appellations.
Production philosophy
"The art of making wine as close to the grapes as possible": a minimal-intervention approach in the vineyard and cellar, hand-harvested and sorted grapes, traditional Beaujolais-style vinifications, use of indigenous yeasts, limited use of sulfites, no chaptalization for many cuvées, and a focus on environmental sustainability.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in Saint‑Vérand in the 'Pierres Dorées' area of southern Beaujolais. The estate manages parcels across several Beaujolais crus, with terroirs ranging from the granites of Moulin‑à‑Vent to the clay‑limestone soils also used for Chardonnay destined for Beaujolais Blanc.
Awards and recognitions
Cuvées such as "Les Trois Roches" and others have received high scores and recognition in specialized publications across multiple vintages.
