The Cabernet Sauvignon Terre Siciliane IGP from Altavilla della Corte, produced by the acclaimed Firriato winery, is a red wine that celebrates the excellence of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes cultivated in fertile Sicilian soil. This label is distinguished by its intense aromatic profile and robust structure, being an exemplar that reflects both the power and elegance typical of great Cabernet Sauvignon wines.

As soon as it is poured into the glass, it presents a deep ruby red color, almost impenetrable. On the nose, the Cabernet Sauvignon Terre Siciliane IGP offers a complex bouquet, with vibrant notes of ripe red fruits, such as blackberries and cassis, interwoven with hints of sweet spices, cocoa, and a light touch of vanilla, a result of expert aging in barrique.

On the palate, this wine reveals a full body and well-integrated tannins that promise excellent aging potential. The balance is perfect between acidity and alcohol, with a persistent finish that leaves space for reminiscences of red fruit and hints of aromatic herbs.

Ideal for accompanying hearty dishes like roasted red meats, game, or aged cheeses, the Cabernet Sauvignon Terre Siciliane IGP from Firriato is an excellent choice for collectors of robust wines and enthusiasts of the Cabernet varietal. Serve at a temperature of 18°C to enhance all its nuances.

In conclusion, this wine not only represents the Sicilian winemaking tradition but also celebrates the innovation and passion of the Firriato winery in creating authentic and high-quality wines. A true gem for lovers of Sicilian wines and Cabernet Sauvignon in particular.

Winery history
Founded as a family project by Salvatore Di Gaetano in the 1980s, Firriato has grown by expanding its presence across multiple estates in Sicily and bringing the island’s wines to international markets. The family has remained actively involved in technical supervision and brand development, over time establishing estates dedicated to production, ampelographic research and hospitality.
Production philosophy
The winery pursues an approach focused on respect for the land: careful selection of soils, promotion of local grape varieties and sustainability-focused agricultural management. Firriato declares the conversion of its vineyards to organic farming and has undertaken initiatives to offset and reduce the company's climate footprint.
Terroir and vineyards
The company's holdings are distributed across several estates that represent different terroirs: the hills of the Agro Trapanese, the slopes of Mount Etna and the maritime viticulture of the island of Favignana. The individual estates mentioned in the sources include Baglio Sorìa, Borgo Guarini, Dàgala Borromeo, Pianoro Cuddìa, Giudeo, Cavanera Etnea and Tenuta di Calamoni in Favignana.
