Cabraia is a red wine offered by Gualdo Del Re and described as Costa Toscana IGT. The IGT designation and reference to Costa Toscana appear in the product name; however, the available information does not specify a vintage, grape varieties or winemaking choices. This description therefore stays with the details provided and does not assign unverified sensory characteristics to the wine. It is an option to consider for anyone looking for a red in the stated category and area, with further details left to the current product listing and the tasting itself.

At the table, it can be served with pasta dishes, meat preparations or cheeses, with the pairing chosen to suit the recipe and personal preferences. A moderate serving temperature may help present it in a balanced way; follow any guidance on the label if available. Cabraia can be enjoyed with an everyday meal or on a convivial occasion, without requiring a particularly elaborate food pairing. Before buying, it is useful to check the listing for the bottle actually available, so that the current product details can be confirmed.

Winery history
Originally established as a mixed agricultural estate in Suvereto, the winery progressively specialized in viticulture from the 1980s. The arrival of oenologist Barbara Tamburini in the early 2000s marked a shift toward single-varietal wines and crus. In 2022 the estate was acquired by Mauro Gestri, who initiated a plan to renovate and expand the vineyards and winery facilities.
Production philosophy
Enhance the identity of each grape variety by working in the vineyard and cellar with rigor and experimentation to achieve elegance, expressive clarity, and wines capable of conveying the character of the terroir.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in Suvereto, on a hillside amphitheatre overlooking the sea and the Island of Elba; the vineyards lie on mixed soils of clay, stone and silt and reach elevations of around 100 m above sea level. The estate cultivates about 27 hectares of vineyard.
Awards and recognitions
The I’Rennero label has received numerous awards, medals and high scores over the years; the producer's website also highlights its prominent placement in the 'Mondo Merlot' competition for several consecutive vintages.
