Empreinte Extra Brut - Geoffroy is an elegant champagne that originates from the renowned Champagne region in France, where the vineyards benefit from a unique terroir characterized by limestone soils and a cool climate that supports the longevity and freshness of the wine.

Made mainly from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, this extra brut surprises with its balanced structure and fine bubbles, which enhance the fresh and mineral notes typical of the area. The aging on the lees, which lasts at least 36 months, provides complexity and depth without weighing down the sip, maintaining a pleasant gustatory tension. On the nose, aromatic hints of white fruits, citrus, and a delicate note of bread crust unfold, while on the palate emerge sensations of green apple, fresh almond, and a vibrant acidity that grants great drinkability.

Empreinte Extra Brut - Geoffroy is perfect to accompany seafood appetizers, shellfish, or light dishes, but it is also suitable for moments of meditative tasting. It is the pure essence of the champagne tradition interpreted with refinement and precision.

Champagne Geoffroy – Winery in Champagne (Vallée de la Marne)

Discover the story and wines of Champagne Geoffroy.

Family-run Champagne house operating as a récoltant-manipulant, with vineyards mainly in Cumières (Premier Cru) and a working cellar in Aÿ. It produces expressive cuvées, benefiting from parcel-by-parcel vinification and technical choices focused on freshness.
Region: Champagne (Vallée de la Marne)
Country: Francia
Grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir
Vineyards concentrated mainly in Cumières. Declared vineyard area: 14 hectares. Declared varietal percentages: approximately 24% Chardonnay, 34% Pinot Meunier, 42% Pinot Noir. The winery and winemaking operations were relocated to Aÿ in 2008. Winemaking practices focused on preserving freshness and the use of traditional pressing.
Winery history
The Geoffroy family has cultivated vineyards in the Vallée de la Marne since the 17th century. In the early 1950s Roger Geoffroy began bottling under his own name. Management then passed to René and later to Jean-Baptiste Geoffroy, who moved the winemaking and commercial operations to Aÿ in 2008. The house has grown while remaining family-run and involving the next generation.
Production philosophy
Production aims to respect the soil and the vineyard’s expression: minimal vineyard work and winemaking conducted parcel by parcel. In the cellar, priority is given to traditional pressing, gravity transfers and choices intended to preserve freshness. Blending and dosage are decided to enhance the wine’s natural balance.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyard covers 14 hectares, divided into plots across the hills of Damery, Hautvillers, Fleury-la-Rivière and, notably, Cumières, a village classified Premier Cru in the Vallée de la Marne. The land is fragmented into numerous clos and parcels that provide diverse varietal expressions typical of the region.
