Empreinte Extra Brut by Geoffroy is an exceptional champagne that comes from the renowned Champagne region in France, famous for the excellence of its traditional sparkling wine production methods. Made primarily from classic grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay, this Extra Brut stands out for its extraordinary freshness, thanks to a particularly low dosage that highlights the purity and finesse of the fruit.

The extended aging on lees imparts complexity and a creamy texture, while the organoleptic notes play on a vibrant balance between aromas of fresh fruit, bread crust, and light mineral hints, completing an elegant and sophisticated bouquet. On the palate, Empreinte is lively and vibrant, with a persistence that invites the next sip without weighing down.

This champagne pairs magnificently with seafood dishes, shellfish, and raw fish, but is equally suitable to accompany refined appetizers or as an elegant toast on any special occasion. A Magnum bottle of Empreinte Extra Brut expresses all the savoir-faire of Geoffroy, offering an intense and memorable tasting experience.

Champagne Geoffroy – Winery in Champagne (Vallée de la Marne)

Discover the story and wines of Champagne Geoffroy.

Family-run Champagne house operating as a récoltant-manipulant, with vineyards mainly in Cumières (Premier Cru) and a working cellar in Aÿ. It produces expressive cuvées, benefiting from parcel-by-parcel vinification and technical choices focused on freshness.
Region: Champagne (Vallée de la Marne)
Country: Francia
Grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir
Vineyards concentrated mainly in Cumières. Declared vineyard area: 14 hectares. Declared varietal percentages: approximately 24% Chardonnay, 34% Pinot Meunier, 42% Pinot Noir. The winery and winemaking operations were relocated to Aÿ in 2008. Winemaking practices focused on preserving freshness and the use of traditional pressing.
Winery history
The Geoffroy family has cultivated vineyards in the Vallée de la Marne since the 17th century. In the early 1950s Roger Geoffroy began bottling under his own name. Management then passed to René and later to Jean-Baptiste Geoffroy, who moved the winemaking and commercial operations to Aÿ in 2008. The house has grown while remaining family-run and involving the next generation.
Production philosophy
Production aims to respect the soil and the vineyard’s expression: minimal vineyard work and winemaking conducted parcel by parcel. In the cellar, priority is given to traditional pressing, gravity transfers and choices intended to preserve freshness. Blending and dosage are decided to enhance the wine’s natural balance.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyard covers 14 hectares, divided into plots across the hills of Damery, Hautvillers, Fleury-la-Rivière and, notably, Cumières, a village classified Premier Cru in the Vallée de la Marne. The land is fragmented into numerous clos and parcels that provide diverse varietal expressions typical of the region.
