White wine from Pacher Hof, made from the Gewürztraminer grape. On the nose it opens with a clear aromatic profile, marked by floral and fleshy fruit notes; rose petals, lychee and exotic fruit emerge, accompanied by light sweet spice. The aromatic intensity is inviting and encourages tasting without specifying origin or winemaking methods.

On the palate it offers a full body and a soft texture, with an aromatic character consistent with the nose. Measured freshness keeps the wine lively, while a moderate aromatic finish recalls fruit and floral impressions. It pairs well with dishes that have pronounced aromatic profiles: spiced appetizers, delicate Asian cuisine, soft cheeses and seafood preparations. Recommended for those seeking an expressive white; serve at a moderate temperature to appreciate its nuances.
The winery

Pacherhof – Winery in Alto Adige / Autonomous Province of Bolzano (Isarco Valley wine region)

Discover the story and wines of Pacherhof.

Historic wine estate and wine hotel in Novacella/Varna (Eisack Valley). Family-run (Huber family), focused on white wines — including Kerner — vinified in historic cellars and a modern winery.
Region: Alto Adige / Autonomous Province of Bolzano (Isarco Valley wine region)
Country: Italy
Winery history
Records show vine cultivation on the estate as early as 1142. The Huber family have been present since the 19th century (marriage Maria Pacher–Josef Huber, 1847). Josef Huber was a local pioneer and introduced Kerner to the Isarco Valley in the 1970s (first plantings in 1973).
Production philosophy
Winemaking focused on preserving terroir character: hand-harvest, gentle grape handling in historic cellars, and selective use of stainless steel and wood; aim to express the minerality and freshness of the Isarco Valley.
Terroir and vineyards
Novacella/Varna (Neustift/Vahrn), sunny slopes in the Isarco (Eisack) Valley north of Bressanone; vineyards on sandy/loamy soils with marked diurnal temperature range (commercial sources report elevations around 600–820 m).
