The Riesling Pacher Hof presents a measured, distinctive aromatic profile: white-fleshed fruit and delicate citrus notes appear alongside light floral hints, accompanied by a fresh acidity that supports the sip. The color is bright, pale straw, and the palate shows a balance between sapidity and structure without excess. On the palate there are tones of green apple, citron and a hint of aromatic herbs, while the persistence remains pleasant and linear, suited to those who seek precision rather than opulence.

It pairs well with fish dishes, shellfish and light vegetable preparations, as well as fresh cheeses and seafood antipasti; it also works as an aperitif wine for informal occasions. It should be served cool, but not too cold, to allow the aromatic profile to express itself; a short time in bottle can soften the edges, but it is mainly intended to be enjoyed young to appreciate its vitality. For storage, keep in a cool place away from light.
The winery

Pacherhof – Winery in Alto Adige / Autonomous Province of Bolzano (Isarco Valley wine region)

Discover the story and wines of Pacherhof.

Historic wine estate and wine hotel in Novacella/Varna (Eisack Valley). Family-run (Huber family), focused on white wines — including Kerner — vinified in historic cellars and a modern winery.
Region: Alto Adige / Autonomous Province of Bolzano (Isarco Valley wine region)
Country: Italy
Winery history
Records show vine cultivation on the estate as early as 1142. The Huber family have been present since the 19th century (marriage Maria Pacher–Josef Huber, 1847). Josef Huber was a local pioneer and introduced Kerner to the Isarco Valley in the 1970s (first plantings in 1973).
Production philosophy
Winemaking focused on preserving terroir character: hand-harvest, gentle grape handling in historic cellars, and selective use of stainless steel and wood; aim to express the minerality and freshness of the Isarco Valley.
Terroir and vineyards
Novacella/Varna (Neustift/Vahrn), sunny slopes in the Isarco (Eisack) Valley north of Bressanone; vineyards on sandy/loamy soils with marked diurnal temperature range (commercial sources report elevations around 600–820 m).
