The Pinot Grigio Pacher Hof shows a pleasantly restrained, fresh-leaning profile. On the nose there are scents of green apple, ripe pear and light floral hints, with a note of fresh herbs that contributes to a harmonious character. On the palate it displays lively yet well-balanced acidity, a generally slender body and a saline texture that supports the sip without weighing it down. The finish tends toward moderate persistence, with fruity echoes and a clean, agreeable sensation.

It is suited to be enjoyed young, ideal as an everyday table wine or to accompany light antipasti, salads, white fish and vegetable dishes. It is recommended to serve it cool, avoiding temperatures that are too low which could mask its aromas; a temperature around 8–10 °C can enhance the aromatic profile. It fits those seeking an accessible, ready-to-drink white that is easy to pair while retaining a measured, versatile personality.
The winery

Pacherhof – Winery in Alto Adige / Autonomous Province of Bolzano (Isarco Valley wine region)

Discover the story and wines of Pacherhof.

Historic wine estate and wine hotel in Novacella/Varna (Eisack Valley). Family-run (Huber family), focused on white wines — including Kerner — vinified in historic cellars and a modern winery.
Region: Alto Adige / Autonomous Province of Bolzano (Isarco Valley wine region)
Country: Italy
Winery history
Records show vine cultivation on the estate as early as 1142. The Huber family have been present since the 19th century (marriage Maria Pacher–Josef Huber, 1847). Josef Huber was a local pioneer and introduced Kerner to the Isarco Valley in the 1970s (first plantings in 1973).
Production philosophy
Winemaking focused on preserving terroir character: hand-harvest, gentle grape handling in historic cellars, and selective use of stainless steel and wood; aim to express the minerality and freshness of the Isarco Valley.
Terroir and vineyards
Novacella/Varna (Neustift/Vahrn), sunny slopes in the Isarco (Eisack) Valley north of Bressanone; vineyards on sandy/loamy soils with marked diurnal temperature range (commercial sources report elevations around 600–820 m).
