Joco Pecorino DOC Bio from Fontezoppa is born in the picturesque Marche region, an ideal territory for the Pecorino grape variety, known for its freshness and aromatic liveliness. This organic wine fully reflects the essence of the terroir: sunny hills with calcareous soils that impart particular minerality and structure to the final product.

In the glass, it presents a bright straw yellow color, accompanied by intense aromas of white-fleshed fruit, peach, and delicate floral notes, combined with a pleasant herbal hint. The sip is balanced, with good acidity and persistence that evoke sensations of almond and dried fruit, making it fresh and mineral.

Perfect paired with seafood dishes, shellfish, and fresh cheeses, Joco Pecorino DOC Bio elegantly expresses the purity of the grape variety and respect for the environment, offering an authentic and refined experience.

Winery history
According to company sources and informational materials, Fontezoppa was established in the late 1990s to showcase the vineyards of the hills between sea and mountains. Ownership and management are tied to the Luzi family; the business has developed by combining native varieties and international cultivars, with an approach that also encompasses wine tourism experiences.
Production philosophy
The estate places its relationship with the land at the center: site-specific viticultural practices, winemaking that seeks to express the characteristics of each grape variety, and an approach focused on quality, hospitality and sustainable practices, with projects to convert to organic farming reported in the sources.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located between Civitanova Alta and the area of Serrapetrona, in the Marche hinterland between the Adriatic coast and the Monti Azzurri.
