Lodovico di Tenuta del Nicchio in Jeroboam version is an extraordinary expression of the Tuscan Maremma, a land that offers intense wines with great personality. This typically Tuscan blend is born from careful work on native grape varieties, selected for their ability to best express the terroir characterized by mineral-rich soils and a Mediterranean climate. The long maturation in oak barrels gives Lodovico a enveloping body and a complex structure, bringing out elegant nuances of ripe black fruits, spicy notes, and a pleasant balsamic finish.

In the glass it appears with an intense ruby color, while on the nose it opens with aromas of blackberry, plum and slight traces of tobacco and vanilla, heritage of a careful and prolonged refinement. The sip is full, full-bodied, with soft and well-integrated tannins that guarantee a long persistence and a refined balance.

Perfect to accompany red meats, roasts and aged cheeses, Lodovico Jeroboam presents itself as an ideal choice for those looking for a robust and engaging wine, capable of expressing the richness and passion of the Maremma winemaking tradition.

A project by Lodovico Antinori and his daughter Sophia, with shared technical and oenological management. Strong focus on Cabernet Franc and a lighter, more refined style. Vineyards in the Alta Maremma between Bibbona, Bolgheri, Donoratico and Castagneto Carducci. Deliberately limited production; maximum indicated: 33,000 bottles. Notable ranges: Lodovico, Il Nicchio, Le 2 Ville; there is also a rosé called Sof.
Winery history
Tenuta del Nicchio is a recent project by Lodovico Antinori, carried forward together with his daughter Sophia. The vineyards, reclaimed from parcels long left uncultivated in the Tuscan Maremma, have been progressively restored to cultivation to produce wines with a clearly defined territorial identity. Technical management involves external professionals, while the family oversees commercial activity and brand image.
Production philosophy
A pursuit of finesse and a strong sense of place with limited production: the estate favors early harvests and parcel-by-parcel work to produce more elegant, characterful wines, focusing on varieties such as Cabernet Franc and on measured aging.
Terroir and vineyards
Alta Maremma, near Bibbona and Bolgheri. Vineyards lie in parcels a few kilometres from the sea, with vines on north-facing slopes and on steeper, terraced plots.
