The Malvasia IGP Venezia Giulia from Ronco dei Tassi's "Family Collection" represents an excellent example of how quality viticulture can express itself in this region. This wine is produced from carefully selected Malvasia grapes, grown in the calcareous and mineral-rich soils typical of Friuli Venezia Giulia, a zone known for imparting a particular aromatic intensity and persistent freshness to its wines.

The Malvasia from Ronco dei Tassi is vinified with utmost care, keeping fermentation temperatures strictly controlled to preserve the delicate and distinctive aromatic profile of the grape. The result is a wine that seduces the nose with intense scents of white flowers, notes of peach, and subtle hints of almond. On the palate, it is elegant and well-structured, with a balanced salinity that leads to a long and pleasantly aromatic finish.

Suitable to be served as an aperitif, the Malvasia IGP Venezia Giulia from Ronco dei Tassi also pairs beautifully with delicate fish dishes, seafood, or as an accompaniment to vegetarian dishes enriched with aromatic herbs. Its versatility makes it an ideal companion for mildly spiced Asian cuisine as well.

With aging potential that sees it improving over the next few years, this wine represents a wise choice for those who wish to have a white in their cellar that can evolve and continue to surprise over time. The presentation of this "Family Collection" also emphasizes Ronco dei Tassi's commitment to creating wines that authentically reflect the terroir and wine-making art of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Cantina del Collio goriziano (Cormòns), known for its local white wines, particularly the Collio Bianco "Fosarin". Family-run production with a focus on vineyard care and the typicity of the grapes. (roncodeitassi.it)
Region: Friuli-Venezia Giulia
Country: Italy
Founded: 1989
Grapes: Friulano, Malvasia, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, Ribolla Gialla, Picolit, Merlot
Fosarin — the estate’s signature wine, awarded Tre Bicchieri. Located in Cormòns, Collio Goriziano; the name derives from "ronco" and from the presence of yew trees. A broad range of wines, including Fosarin, Cjarandon, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, Ribolla Gialla and Picolit. An agricultural philosophy focused on vineyard care and the targeted management of fermentations to preserve typicity.
Winery history
The estate was founded when Fabio Coser, together with his wife Daniela, purchased a property in the heart of the Collio; the name comes from the presence of colonies of badgers and from the vineyards’ typical 'ronco' layout. The winery has grown over the years, becoming a local reference for Collio white wines.
Production philosophy
Quality-focused approach to raw materials: careful attention to vine training systems and frequent vineyard inspections to bring healthy grapes to the winery and allow winemaking that highlights the typicity of the terroir. In the historic blends, ageing in wood and vinification in stainless steel are balanced to achieve complexity without overpowering the fruit.
Terroir and vineyards
Collio Goriziano, in the municipality of Cormòns, at altitudes ranging from approximately 140 to 200 m above sea level; close to the protected Plessiva area, characterized by terraced vineyards and a rich presence of flora and fauna. The territory is fundamental to the style of the wines, with a strong focus on indigenous and international white varieties cultivated in the area.
Awards and recognitions
The Collio Bianco 'Fosarin' has recently received notable accolades, including the Tre Bicchieri in the Vini d'Italia guide and the 'Vino Bianco dell’anno' award at Food & Travel Italia's 2026 Wine Awards.
