Marques de Riscal 150 Aniversario is an emblematic wine from the famous winery located in the DOCa Rioja, the beating heart of Spanish viticulture. Made primarily with Tempranillo grapes, this red wine fully expresses the typical characteristics of the territory: elegance, structure, and aromatic complexity. The aging takes place in French oak barrels, giving the wine vanilla and spicy tones that blend with hints of ripe red fruits and light balsamic notes. The intense ruby color anticipates a harmonious palate, with well-balanced tannins and a long, enveloping persistence.

Perfect to accompany dishes based on red meats, roasts, or aged cheeses, Marques de Riscal 150 Aniversario is a celebration of tradition and innovation, capable of telling the story of more than a century of winemaking excellence. A rich and refined sensory experience for those who love great Spanish reds.

Winery history
The property originated as a winery associated with the title of the Marchese de Riscal. Camilo Hurtado de Amézaga was the driving force behind the entrepreneurial transformation that led to the company's founding in the second half of the 19th century; the winery has a long tradition of producing Rioja and, from the 1970s onward, has also established itself in the Rueda appellation for white wines. During the 20th and 21st centuries the estate expanded its wine‑tourism focus by creating the "Ciudad del Vino" and building the iconic hotel designed by Frank Gehry.
Production philosophy
The estate declares a strong commitment to respecting the land and to wine quality: it promotes organic and regenerative farming practices aimed at preserving soil health, enhancing varietal character and adapting the vineyards to climate change. At the same time it seeks to combine tradition and innovation, opening the cellar to the public with tours and hospitality experiences.
