Well-structured Negroamaro, this Salice Salentino DOC shows an intense ruby color with violet highlights. On the nose it offers a recognizable profile: ripe black fruit and Morello cherry balanced by soft notes of Mediterranean spice and a slight earthy undertone that keeps the rustic character without becoming coarse. The acidity is present just enough to support the aromatic framework, while the tannins are ripe and well integrated, contributing to a solid yet balanced structure. It is a wine of immediate appeal, yet endowed with a clear Mediterranean personality.

On the palate the sip is enveloping, with a lovely concentration that does not overpower the freshness; the persistence is pleasant, dominated by returns of dark berries and a hint of pepper on the finish. It pairs well with grilled meats, savory ragùs and hard cheeses, but also stands up to tomato-based dishes. Excellent served slightly cooler than room temperature to enhance its vibrant drinkability.
